What really is Astrology? - A logical Explanation

Astrology is one of the oldest sciences of the world. Going as far as the 3rd Millennium BC, astrology came to India from the Greek. It was not until the time of Maharishi Parashara (Father of Vedic Astrology), who researched more and really laid the foundations of Vedic Astrology, when Astrology really flourished. One can learn the basic foundations in the book Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra Later renowned astronomers, researchers and mathematicians like Ved Vyas, Aryabhatta, & Varahamira developed many other branches of astrology. It was because of the great work of these sages that Astrology became an indispensable part of every Indian king's decision making process. Lets get to it, what is Astrology really? How does it work? And how is it possible for stars up above to change and effect our lives on a daily basis? To understand astrology, one has to understand the basic concept of quantum physics- that the building blocks of all nature is matter and energy. While matter gives things shape and structure, energy really is the driving force of every matter in the universe.

And so, the day, time and coordinates (Latitudinal and longitudinal) of one's birth defines the inherent ball of energy one is born with. Likewise, each planet in our vicinity also vibrates at a certain frequency and because these are huge pieces of matter, their vibrations impact us and our little ball of energy on a daily level.

Astrology essentially is the mathematical calculations or calculations of probability of how one's energy will be impacted by the changes of large energies (planetary energies) around them. Remember in school, during math classes? We had these questions like- "In a bag of 10 black, 5 red and 7 white balls. What is the probability that one will pick out a red ball?"

When someone asks an astrologer will they be able to marry this year, or settle abroad etc, the question is almost the same as the above math problem to an astrologer. Now, its the job of an astrologer to study the person's energy, planet strengths, and changes in energies due to planets around. Analyzing these gives the astrologer a basic mathematical calculation for the probability of such events occurring in the subject's life.
